I was wondering, does anyone know another way (besides Google) or know of any free and excellent MIDI Composing Programs?

Noteworthy Composer is (almost) free. Finale is great too, but costs more. I use Guitar Pro, which is pretty cheap.

I just used Fruity Loops so I could cut down a Dream Theater MIDI so I could use it as a ringtone.

I *think* Finale has a free version... Finale Workbook.
