The new Nine Inch Nails album dropped today, and I just got it. It's pretty damn good, not the greatest, but still good. I got the dual disc version and am a little disappointed because there's basically nothing special on the DVD. Overall, still a great purchase.

Anybody else have thoughts on it?

I was blown away, in my opinion, better than most of his previous albums. A lot of it sounded the same to me ( his previous albums that is). This one feels like he's covering so much more ground, but still being NIN, almost less of an "in your face" screaming album.

Everything is in it's Right Place is an amazing song, the next Hurt, I would even compare it with John Lennon's Imagine.

And All That Could Have Been + Still is the greatest bit of music I've heard in a while, topping even "The Fragile" as far as emotion goes.

I'm picking this up today, with high expectations.

The album is winding to a close now. Over all I'd say I'm very pleased. It seems more raw than The Fragile was, but in a good way. I'm gonna be giving it several more listens before I form any interesting opinions, but I'd definetly recommend this to a friend.

do you have a DVD-A player and a system capable of properly handling the high resolution audio? that's one of the ideas behind dualdisc... to help introduce people to high resolution audio

but i must warn everyone... be careful with dualdisc... some CD players WILL NOT read the CD side and some players can potentially be damaged (slot loading players tend to not agree with dualdisc at all)

you can still burn a copy for listening in such players

i got lucky... my player works with dualdisc

I picked it up yesterday and am loving it. Anyone see the video for The Hand That Bleeds? It doesn't seem that Trent Reznor ages, still looks good after all these years.
