Need some song suggestions for a set list

My band's got a gig the 11th of August, and we're been hired to plain mainstream rock.

The only problem is, I don't listen to anything mainstream, I listen mostly to French music.

Please help me. :(

SOAD would be cool if we didn't have to downtune our guitars so much. Dropped-D is okay, but down a step along with that? Our second guitarist uses an RG with a Floyd Rose, he can't downtune that thing at all within a half hour.

Thanks for the chart Vinny, I didn't even think of checking that out. :p

Foo Fighters, the punters will lap it up if you play Learn To Fly and Times Like These.
Rock is dead - but I believe in necrophilia.

They were already in our setlist, along with "Everlong." :p

Ya know, play some Nickelback. Or Creed. They're both pretty good bands...
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you are one of the hundreds of parachuting enthusiasts who bought our "Easy Sky Diving" book, please make the following correction: on page 8, line 7, the words "state zip code" should have read "pull rip cord."

Mainstream's easy - just look at charts.
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

Dunno about you but all the teenies around here never heard of Boston or Def Leppard. Makes me want to kill.

Cool, fairly modern, fairly mainstream rock songs that you should consider covering:

Local H - Bound for the Floor
Weezer - Buddy Holly
White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Maps
2005-06-09, 2:17 AM #19
the coral - time travel
2005-06-09, 9:57 AM #20
Aerosmith - Walk This Way
thats a fun one
yay for not posting much ever
