System Of A Down were forced to delay their appearance on Friday night at London's Brixton Academy after bassist Shavo Odadjian, alegedlly, lost his trousers.

According to our sources - the bassist had taken his favourite stage attire to be dry-cleaned. Unfortunately, when he return to collect the lucky strides - the shop was shut.

After a tense few hours, the police were called, the owner tracked down and Odadjian's trusty pants returned to their owner who then legged it over the Academy to rock a rather a late show.

SOAD are in the UK promoting their latest album 'Mezmerize' which is on sale now. You can catch them at Download festival on Sunday 10 June, Manchester MEN Arena (14) and Glasgow SECC (15). You can read more about their crazy antics in this month's issue of rock sound which is on sale Wednesday June 08.

Not to really put down any SOAD fans, or anyone who appreciates the news, but is it really necessary to post every little news item you hear about SOAD? Come on, no one posted about someone stealing Slash's trademark hat, but a not really famous guy's pants? :P

They called the police because he was to stupid to pick his pants up on time?

Delaying a show in order to retrieve a pair of favorite pants seems awfully... bourgeois for an outspoken, political band.

a la Bono buying his hat a plane ticket so he could wear it at a show.
The tired anthem of a loser and a hypocrite.

He had it on time, though.
