I'm currently trying to work out that nifty little acoustic break JP plays during Full Circle in Octavarium. I've got the first bit down nearly.

I'm just starting out, but I'm slowly getting the hang of A320 by the Foo Fighters.

I'm learning everyone Lamb of God song.. on guitar. But I'm taking a break right now because my index finger hurts because of all the pinch harmonics.

Pinch harmonics? Whazzat? Sounds cool.

It's how you make your guitar squeal. You hit the string with your pick, then sorta "bump" it immediately afterword in a certain spot. Different notes do this in different places.

This will tell you how a bit more specifically, although there are a few different techniques to doing this. You can actually lay your middle finger on the string lightly and hit it too. Gives a better harmonic, but is a bit more difficult to learn at first. I just use my thumb, but I suck at being consistent. At least on certain solos. There's one in particular (that I made up for a song that originally didn't have it) that I don't think I've ever missed it on, which is unusual for me. Maybe it's just because I've played it a thousand times.

I can find nothing else to learn. I have conquered the realms of classic rock, classic metal, euro power metal, blues, and flamenco. Now I'm writing my own stuff to become known so that I may go on my path to world domination. :em321:

But I just learned all of Wolf and Raven by Sonata Arctica. About a week ago.

I'm just starting, so I thought I'd go with something easy, like Good Riddance(Time of Your Life) by GreenDay. Very simple to learn.
