Where should I ge tickets for...

...the System of a Down concert. Here is the seating. I wanted an actual seat at first, but they are all so far away Most of it is standing and such. I was wondering if I should purchase tickets for Area 2, but I've never really been to a concert like this before, so I don't know if I'm going to get raped in a pit or something :p Help SAJN pick his seats...or errr standing position (?)

Assuming the floor seats are really standing, it won't really matter since you can probably move around on the floor without too much trouble. Also, I'll put money on a whole lot of people from the seats rushing the floor when SoaD hits the stage.

Well duh... Only people over 50 with hip replacements dont buy general admission tickets for floor access to a rock concert.

Oh, and if you really want to get that close get to the venue a good 30 minutes before the doors open, and ensure that your bladder is completely empty.

I'd say at least a good hour, hour and a half. I got to the Sonata Arctica concert in Montreal about 30 minutes before the doors openned and we wound up way in back. :(

an hour sounds good. I mean we should get close or middle with that ammount of time. The only problem is convincing my friends to get there that early.

Just let yourself get pushed to the front, and stay at the security gate, BETWEEN two of the security guys.

AND DUCK A LITTLE.

OH YEAH.

Prepare to get kicked, stepped on, bashed into, head butted, or you name it. Cause it will happen.

I remember at the Jimmy Eat World concert I went to there was a girl in the front row. I was right behind her dancing with the rest of the crowd. People kept pushing me into her (it happens at a rock concert) and she got really mad at me because I kept 'touching her'. HONESTLY! You're in the front row at a concert. You're gonna get touched. Deal with it.

You should have taken advantage of the touchy situation.

Hah.
