So apparently I have a taste for ska that I didn't know of. Want to point me in the direction of some good Ska bands?
nope.

Reel Big Fish
Less than Jake
Catch 22
Five Iron Frenzy
Mighty Mighty Bosstones
The Forces of Evil
The Hippos (don't listen to them much, so I don't know how good they are)
I Voted for Kodos (local band, but pretty well-known)
OC Supertones
Operation Ivy
RX Bandits have some ska-ish stuff (awesome band overall)
Streetlight Manifesto

Reel Big Fish, Five Iron Frenzy, Mighty Mighty Bosstones,Streetlight Manifesto and Goldfinger are my favourites.

If you can download music, get Superman by Goldfinger. If you like them, and you probably will, then don't be cheap. Go buy their CD (it's called Hang-Ups). You can get just about any cd for only a few dollars on www.half.com

Local bands are always fun though. I don't know where you live. But if you're in Florida, go check out Ten 13 Concept, I voted for Kudos, and the Know How. They have the funnest live shows and they only cost a few bucks.
If your not in Florida, Kudos and the know-how will randomly go to other states. If they stop by, they really are worth seeing.

Oh, and if you do happen to be like me, you'll probably want to stay clear of most ska bands out there. I used to absolutely hate everything ska because of my friend richard. Streetlight Manifesto made me realise that it wasn't the entire genre that blowed. I still don't dig the checkerboards very much....
Anyway, I completely despise these bands:
The Aquabats
Insufficiant Numbers (such a shame too. their name is so hardcore)
The Toasters
The Hippos
(Most ska that I've heard)

But maybe that's just me. It's all up to you, but if you're looking for new stuff I'd stick to the stuff on Murc's list (+Goldfinger) until you become a complete checker wearing ska fanatic.
