some new recording gear (8 track something is all I know) and I need someone who is good with this stuff to help me out. I have an amp, an effects pedal, and my recording station thing. What I want to do is set it up so that I can record my guitar while listening to it and having my effects and also enable playback so I can record over it. Someone tell me where the chords go! It will be like a puzzle, here are the different things I have:

Effects pedal has:
Left out
Right out
Instrument jack

Recorder has:
Mic/line/guitar (with a switch for mic/line or guitar)
Mic/line
Headphone jack

Where do I put my cables!!!

What pedal and what recording interface?

Usually you'd just go from the left out on the pedal (the left is usually also the mono signal) to a line-in on the sound interface.
