I've got about 400 songs (around 1.4 GB) on my computer organized by iTunes. I use AAC to rip my CDs. The sound quality is pretty good and files are slightly smaller than MP3s.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

1.48 gb, 319 songs on my comp. Add all of my CDs, I'd say a grand total of 3.5 - 4 gigs and 1200 songs. And growing. ;)

1244 songs, 5.7 days, 7.88GB, and I still haven't ripped all of my CDs yet.

Most of my CDs aren't ripped, and I haven't yet transferred the last few weeks of DLs to my above music folder. I've been doing alot of streaming instead of DLing lately, due to how hard it is to find much of the music that I enjoy.

Shorter songs, 128 kbps. Assume average song length is 3:15, that comes out to 12.59375 GB.

503 Songs on my PC ( 3.5 gb) All songs ripped at 350 kp/s .Ogg

A few legally downloaded songs are at 128- 192 kp/s mp3

I've got somewhere around 75-100 CD's imported into iTunes right now, and some others I've downloaded, but haven't gotten around to purchasing.

EAC is the best for ripping because of its error correction. CDex is the next best because it's so damn easy. Just Google them.

Oh, and my collection is now:

8,109 songs over 44.6 GB.

226 meg. 370 files. most of them are midis. most of the remainder are mp3's. the rest (only a few) are wav files that i made from those files to make all squiril like using MS sound editor.
