Clicky.

This is completely legal as set forth by all rules regarding this kind of thing. It's from the Live Music Archive and has the band's consent.

its alright, bit bland if you ask me, repetitive stumming and a thom yorke/jeff buckley knockoff vocal, can't quite appriciate it as much as you though.

it's far too long, it's doesn't sound bad, it just doesn't sound good.

No, it's pretty bad.

I liked the part where the second voice came in.

well I really like it. Especially the harmonizing between the two singers.

*sigh* I knew you guys would be unnappreciative. I guess it helps if you hear the original version first cause both give me the chills.

And in my opinion his voice is better than Jeff Buckley and is far far superior to Thom Yorke. He can be strong and smooth without coming off whiny like Buckley and Yorke are prone to do.

i dunno, i think yorke shines on Kid A, he has a voice that suits it perfectly.

Idioteque, national anthem and title track sound just amazing.

It was alright, but it was very slow-paced and had little variation. The guy's voice grated on my nerves, actually. I prefer Jump, Little Children in the recording studio.

I've not heard anything else from this band, but that song sounded like a ghetto Radiohead to me.

I liked it, and I don't think he sounds anything like Yorke though (and I have listened to crap loads of Thom Yorke). I think it is a little long, but then again its a live version. A bit repedative, but not so much. Yeah I don't feel strongly either away about this song.

Kid A\Amnesiac are easily Thom Yorkes best albums vocally, and I have always thought Kid A was Yorkes best written album. Though I like the harsh sounds in Amnesiac better.
The tired anthem of a loser and a hypocrite.

Sorry, I still think that if you are comparing Jay Clifford to Thom Yorke at all it's a ridiculous comparison. Comparing Jump, Little Children to Radiohead is like saying that Led Zeppelin is basically The Beatles because they both had guitars and drums.

When I listened to it my first thought was "this sounds like street spirit only even less interesting and far too long"

He sounds 'like' Thom Yorke because they both sing pretty high, but apart from that they're rather different.

I didn't know who this Yorke fellow was until I Googled it (not a big Radiohead fan here), but since I now know that he is indeed the singer of Radiohead, I must say that to me, the track sounds like it might be from Radiohead's garage band days. If I were going to compare the two bands just by this song, I'd have to say that while I don't care much for Radiohead, they're definitely much better. I haven't much cared for Radiohead since I was a teenager, but at least with them you could understand at least 2 or 3 of the words. I'd be willing to listen to more of this band's material, but this song was rather irritating, and hard on the ears.

Just curious, were you at the concert?

Not at *this* particular one. This was a live recording from the show the week before their show in Atlanta when they played the same song, just from my memory the Atlanta version was better I just can't find a recording of it on the archive.

And ya, it is a bit long, but if you're into it you don't notice.

What language is he singing in? The melody, instrumentals, and vocals are too bland for the lyrics to be this undecipherable/non-existent, i.m.h.o.

Ya, he does have a tendency to slur his words to be unintelligible. You also have to take into account that this is an encore after a 2 hour show so the guy is tired as hell.

here's what he is trying to sing:

Sound asleep
In an ocean of crashes
Sound asleep
In pouring black rain
Bedside voices praying with tears of ashes
Stung by the salt of weeping skies

All alone
Lying shoulder to shoulder
All alone with
Hot hand in hand

Sleepy gestures of silent tongue and lashes
Cheek to cheek with last goodbyes

Hold me, a child in your arms
Hold me, please hold me
I'm lost in your gaze
Floating away

Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh

Wide awake
On an ocean of silence
Wide awake
In soft lullabies

Linen shadows floating through open sashes
All in the touch of a mother's eyes

Hold me, a child in your arms
Hold me, please hold me
A water-marked sky
Of tears that I cry
Is floating so high

Oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-Oh, oh-oh, oh

*Three Piece Harmony Part*

All in the touch of a mother's eyes
Stung by the salt of weeping skies
Cheek to cheek with last goodbyes
