Death Metal

Is god damn sweet!

I just listened to my Nile album again and I forgot how much I missed it.

INTENSE ROCK METAL!!

Damn, this is the only way to go when you want metal, its got occasional melody, intense riffs, ominous vocals and drumming that makes children melt.

Anyone else a fan of Death Metal? I've just remembered how much I love it... and to think I was listening to OK Computer earlier today (which is still a great album, except track 5, which I despise for some reason).

the music can be pretty good but I hate the vocals with a passion.

Power Metal > Death Metal.

Dark Tranquillity is one of my favourite bands, and I like the vocals in Death Metal... especially from Arch Enemy, ;).

I love Angela Gossow.

Now we talk my style of music ^^

I must say that I really like my country's death metal scene... there are so many great bands: Dismember, Entombed, Amon Amarth, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Skyfire, Soilwork, Dark Tranquillity, Nightrage, Dimension Zero, At the Gates, Satariel, The Crown, Scar Symmetry etc etc... US death metal is too boring IMO ;)

BTW, Angela sucks. The old vocalist Johan owns her by far. Just listen to the song "The Immortal".

I never considered bands like In Flames to be the same kinda music i'm thinking.

I mean bands like Nile, Morbid Angel, Angel Corpse, Six Feet Under, The Berzerker etc. the real extreme folks.

Crushingly fast and complex guitars that sound like they're gonna punch you, with insane scary sounding solos and relentless drums that never cease, Berzerker style.

I love it.

Not a big fan of anything metal. Maybe I'm just getting increasingly tired of power chords & distortion in general, since nearly everyone is doing it.

If you want that, try Behemoth, Dismember or Entombed... I really like Morbid Angel too.

I don't really enjoy listening to music where you can't unserstand what the singer is singing (because they're screaming, not singing). So, I'm gonna have to say that death metal is exactly at the top of my favorite genre list. However, I do like many of their drummers.

If punks went up against metal heads, there would be no more punks to make punk music. :em321:

Ugh I saw Six Feet Under with Chimaira last month.. Chimaira is my favorite band but SFU sucked IMO

Also, Lamb of God is another one of my top bands.
