Today, 2 vinyl records I had orderd arrived, the Zwan singles Lyric and Honestly. Originaly I had only wanted to get them so I could frame them as I loved the art on the sleeves but before I did that I gave them a listen and I was blown away at how much BETTER they sound than the cd version. I don't mean in quality obviously, they just 'feel' better. I've orderd the album aswell now and cant wait to hear it popin' and crackling away on my player. Other good example are Dark Side of The Moon and anything by Led Zep ( ofcourse, they are from the era of Vinyl so its a little different ). So yeah, anyone had a similar experience?

I can see why you like it, but I prefer CD anyday. Partially because those CDs were converted with vinyl equipment that is *far* more expensive than anything I could buy any time soon.

Right behind my computer chair there sits around 900 vinyl records of classic rock.. My dad is a music freak.. his CD collection is more now I think but he loves his vinyls.

Any CD's he can't find we record the vinyls on computer and Burn them. They don't sound bad at all.. got all the pops and cracks.. its cool.

Vinyls sound fatter than CD's to me. I dont know how to explain it, but I seriously think they sound better....................... maybe it's just me. The latest vinyl I purchased though was The Killers. I need to get a new turntable.

well 16bit 44.1KHz CD-DA is not as good as a good old analog vinyl... the only drawback of vinyl is that it is very prone to pops and crackling caused by dust and scratches

pops, crackling and scratches add to the sound.

vinyl sounds way better i always thought.

its also a true recording of the band actually playing the songs, not a digital representation of the music.
