Any producers down for some type of competition? It wouldn't really be one as it wouldn't have to be judged, just an excuse to get creative and see what everyone comes up with.

The idea is we're all going to submit some samples (hopefully). I'll update this first as neccessary. Once we've got some, we'll vote on them. The winner of the vote is the sample we'll be using.

Once we've decided the sample, it's on. We'll all make a song revolving around the winning sample and see what we come up with. No pressure, no prizes, no judges. Just for fun.

I'm kind of partial to the "Sample pack" idea. We could each pick a sample, zip em all up and get crackin'. My second choice is we all submit samples, take a vote to pick one and then make a song with only that one sample (tweaking it, chopping it, doing whatever you can to it).

But I'm mostly looking for other suggestions at this point.
And if this takes off could we sticky it so people don't forget about it?

I think we should build a song around that sample, but be allowed to use other instruments as well.

Yeah, that'd be alot less "omg hardcore spend a million hours making this horn sample into a drum" thing hehe.

I defintly don't wanna scare people away with a super daunting thing, I just want to have fun (which is why I asked what you guys would enjoy :)).

Compos, I don't think it'll work. I suggest this: you choose the sample, and make a new, official-looking thread with instructions and rules and a deadline and stuff like that. It's the only way to get them to do anything. :p
