A bit o' jam
2005-10-13, 1:32 PM #1
I got bored today and I decided to jam for a bit. I just kind of made it up as I went along (hence jam). Some of it came out sounding pretty cool, and some of it is just WTFAHHMYFREAKINGEARS! I recorded it with a crappy PC mic, so sorry about the crappy crap crap quality.

A bit slow, snort some coke before you play. I have ADHD bass guitarists... intense stuff.

You're playing live soon, right?
Wasn't it the same 3-4 notes over and over? I think shorter clips would have sufficed ;)

<Anovis> mmmm I wanna lick your wet, Mentis.

not everyone has to play slap bass...

Was it just me though, or were we a bit out of tune?
and I'd suggest that in the future you jam with a metronome... Also, don't be afraid of the G string...

...not that kind of G string. Some of the higher notes can sound awesome on a bass... like rather than those 4 notes over and over again, play those 4, then move up to some higher notes, and get some variety.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Lassev: I guess there was something captivating in savagery, because I liked it.

fairly bland and its really low... sounds like farts, play a bit higher sometimes.

yeah, stop repeating so much.

Actually it was 3, 4, 5, 0, 15, and 17.

0 3 0 3| 0 3 0 3| 0 3 0 3| 0 3 0 4 5| 0 5 4 3 3| 0 5 4 3 3 | 0 3 4 5 5 | 0 3 4 5 5 | 0 3 0 3| 0 3 0 3| 0s15 | 0s17 | 0s15 | 15 16 17 17 | 17 17s15 | (Back to quicker versions of the top) | 0 3 | 0 3 3 | 0 3 3h4 | 4 4 5 0 | 0 3 0 3| 3 4 5 5 |

Something like that.

I think that's kind of a mix of the two actually, I don't even know if that's 100% accurate, but yeah. Also if you thought that repeated alot listen to System of a Down - Sugar :) But yes I agree it did repeat a rather lot. I was just messing around a bit. I'll try to make up some more stuff with the rest of the strings today.

Yeah, I'm not worried about repeating too much live. We're playing System of a Down, Static X, and a song of our own. Our own song has the most complex bass..Heh. I already have the 5 or so songs we're playing pretty down. Although I still practice because I need it.
