Are there any fans of this incredible band here? You would think they're a death metal-core band just from judging their title, but nothing could be further from the truth. Actually, their sound is completely different to anything I've heard before.
It's very hard to describe their sound, but one person nicely described it as "a soundtrack to a horror-western movie." They have a western kind of feel to their music (you know, ragtime, western bar music, that stuff), but the atmosphere they create feels evil. I mean, really, their music isn't loud and full of screaming, but it sounds just plain sinister. Their last album was a concept album about the devil wreaking havoc on a small western town. They incorporate a full-time cellist and keyboardist to give a cinematic and ragtime-ish sound to their music, respectively. I think any fan of any music can find something to enjoy in this band.
They're new album, In Bocca Di Lupo, is coming out this spring (which will be freakin' incredible), and is going to be a concept album inspired by Dante's Inferno. You can download a low-fi version of one of their new upcoming songs Dynamite Mine. Tell me what you think... I'm going to go see them Nov. 5th in D.C. Yes!

"I'm afraid of OC'ing my video card. You never know when Ogre Calling can go terribly wrong."
