Children of Bodom.

Wow.

I just started listening to these guys..the instrument parts are absolutely phenomenal, especially the guitar. Who is this guy and why havent I heard of him? Alexi Laiho, is he famous?

Wow. But as always there has to be something I dont like. If it werent for the vocals I think this band would be made by God himself.

Ditto. Awesome band, but 99% of the time I'm not in the mood for those vocals. I still regard CoB as "highly awesome" despite this beef.

on a few of their songs, the vocals really do work though, like Black Widow.

I don't care if that was a joke, it's still utterly wrong.

I would normally never listen to metal that has growly vocals, I can't usually stand angry music. The majority of metal I listen to is driven by highly melodic vocals. That being said, Children of Bodom have enough musical skill to make up for a vocal style that I can't normally tolerate.

I don't think I've ever heard Children of Bodom. I've heard of them, but I haven't acually heard them.
