Songs so beautiful they make you cry

Ever have a song that was just so beautiful, regardless of even the mood of the song, that it makes you cry? Just that it was written so perfectly, and is just amazing? You get hung up on every single part, and it just adds itself onto itself, getting better and better until it climaxes and just creates this just blissful state. It only happens with so many songs for me, and I don't really realize it until I'm sitting down to learn it myself, but ( may sound cliche, but ) :

Led Zeppelin - Going to California
Stones - Wild Horses
Hendrix - Little Wing
Floyd - Great Gig in the Sky

Even though they haven't (well, the second has sorta made), I think these are fine candidates for me:

Nobuo Uematsu - Celes / Aria De Mezzo Carattere
Nobuo Uematsu - Aerith's Theme
Jean-Michel Jarre - Souvenir of China
Ennio Morricone - Once Upon A Time In America
Hatikvah (National Anthem of Israel)
(I'm forgetting some really important one here, but my memory sucks)
Star Wars: TODOA | DXN - Deus Ex: Nihilum

Whether it was the song itself, or while contemplating something emotional while listening to the song, these songs made me cry (or at least got me really misty-eyed):

Explosions In The Sky - Your Hand In Mine (w/ strings)
The Appleseed Cast - Steps and Numbers
Elliott - Carry On
On Fire - Please Remember

I usually never cry.
"I'm afraid of OC'ing my video card. You never know when Ogre Calling can go terribly wrong."

James Taylor - Fire And Rain

Chris Isaak - Wicked game

Prescilla Hernendez - "But if you go " and "Devotion To Kira"

Avril Lavigne - that why should I care song...

Note: I do not cry at these, they just remind me of sad memories.

#1 reminds me of Suzanna, a close female friend who died...

#2 Reminds me of a hated ex gf who stole my desire to live.

#3 reminds me of my dog who died.

#4. See #2

Damn you Spork, that's exactly what I was going to say!!!

I've never listened to a song that's made me cry except that one. It gets me every single time.
Rock is dead - but I believe in necrophilia.

Mogwai - Helicon 1

Ennio Morricone - 60 Seconds to what?

Karate - This, plus slow song

There's lots more, but this is what comes to mind right now. Later on, I'll probably go "How could I forget this one? And this one!" - lol

I've never actually cried at the beauty of a song, but one that comes close is The Music of the Night, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber (sp?) for the Phantom of the Opera.

Simple Plan isn't emo.

For me, it's Everybody Hurts, by REM.

Owen - Everyone feels like you
Owen - No good for no one now
American Football - Never Meant

These 4 songs made me cry like a small child recently.

That's awesome...most people haven't heard of either.

Mike Kinsella (Owen) is coming to play at our campus in December...I'm so excited.

Isn't Kinsella the lead singer of American Football and currently of Owen? I only have one Owen song (which I really like), but I heard his latest CD was pretty good. Any good suggestions?

Yep. He was in American Football as well as a few other lesser-known bands. American Football broke up a while ago, which was when he started his solo project of Owen.

As far as what CD, IMO they're all good. My favorite is his second, No Good for No One Now. You can actually stream the whole thing from this site: http://www.polyvinylrecords.com/owen/
