I've been practicing my hip-hop production methods. I made this fun little instrumental, and I wanted to test its mettle by layering some vocals over it. And since I didn't have any other acapellas I decided to do an MC Chris remix. The lyrics are very coarse, profane, and explicit.

I think the production came out quite nicely. My layering of 3 or 4 different hihat patterns gives it a fun little groove. Pretty much everything except for the vocals and a couple samples, it's all created and mixed by moi.

I like. The vocals sound a little distant, but the beat itself is pretty damn cool. Really good production.

the quality of the voice and the base drum/ pattern is great.


What lets it down is how monotonous it is.
But I guess thats just the genre of music.
