If anyoned listened to the song I recorded last time, it's pretty much the same song but almost complete.

A few mistakes and wrong timing.. but what do you expect.

Here's my song. (2 guitars by me)

While overall the actual playing sounds alright, it feels like your just throwing out riffs that you know in some loose form, repeating them, and going to the next. It has no overall flow to it. While your "squeals" sound ok too, they are repetitive and out of place most of the time. Like you're just putting them in because you know how to do them, not when. Even in that loose form that the riffs are in, they never seem justified at all, like you're just hopping from one riff to the next.So overall it sounds like someone just playing generic metal riffs they know (not that they are generic, but they aren't anything different than what everybody else has heard for the most part).

So overall, I think you have the right idea how to play, just make a song out of it, take the listener on a journey. Piece it together, think it out, make a transition between each part. Make a flow out of it.

haha sorry thrawn.. I just got all my things set back up.

I appreciate your comments matrixhacker, I do pinched harmonics too much yes.. and I would like to have better flow. I think some parts go good together though. Anyway yeah it's a rough draft but it's kinda hard to write music without other people to play with too. I bet with some drums it would be a completly different song.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly about the drums.

I agree with almost everything matrixhacker said above. It's a composium of riffs moreso than a song. You don't do the pinch harmonics all THAT much throughout, but you do them a lot towards the end. Playing with a band changes things, but there's no reason to wait on an ensemble to write a song.

...WMA?
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Lassev: I guess there was something captivating in savagery, because I liked it.

It doesn't have a flow really, it's just random riffs together pretty much, nonethless, GOOD guitaring, but just.. no real flow...
