I just discovered Gorillaz, specifically thier song Feel Good Inc., and I was wondering, does anyone else listen to them? Also, what other songs have they made htat are as good as Feel Good inc.?

And why are they entirely cartoons? O_o

Okay...

Gorillaz (not The Gorillaz ;)) is made up of a few guys portrayed by cartoons--1) This is of course not their first album. In fact it's their (I think) third. 2) They're an excellent grouping of semi-electronica, semi-rap concoctions, more rap on their first two CDs, more electronica-type beats in this one. 3) If you liked Feel Good Inc., you are not anywhere near guaranteed to like any other songs by them. It's not the same as a lot of their other stuff

The main thing I've noticed is the parity of them and Deltron 3030 and Del the Funkee Homosapien. The styles are VERY similar, so if you end up liking Gorillaz, then you'll end up liking the others probably.

I suggest picking up their album Demon Dayz, what Feel Good Inc. is off of, and listening through it. Chances are you'll really like it, though I can't guarantee anything. From there, check out their self-titled album and see how you like it. I'd also suggest testing the waters out on Deltron 3030 with their album Virus.

Yeah, that about covers it.

Thanks! I saw the music video for Feel Good Inc., and while disturbing, is really awesome. I love the style, and the smooth way the bassist plays that riff. I went online and memorized the tabs for it. :D

'19-2000' is awsome. So is 'Tomarrow Comes Today', they both kinda fit their "happy" hip-hopish style of 'Feel Good Inc.' Could always old skool it and get 'Clint Eastwood' aka Sunshine in a Bag. Gorillaz albums:

Demon Days
Gorrilaz vs Space Monkeys
Gorillaz (Self-titled, think it's the second album though)

They are the only hip-hopish I'll listen too, except Black Eyed Peas, and some Lil' John, but he's only for skating.

Zell and fallen shadow, if you like the Gorillaz, you may also enjoy The Herbaliser. They are not cartoons, but they similarly tiptoe the outskirts of hip-hop while providing a genuinely enjoyable musical experience.

That, and they're monsters on the decks. :D

Also, it's Demon Days is the 2nd album, the first was self titled. 19-2000 Soulchild Remix is fantastic driving music.

About the cartoons:

They're considered a "virtual band", they're made to be those guys on the videos, but in reality, it's just two, one of the guys from Blur and Jamie Hewlett. They create all the music, vocals, etc, and just present the cartoons to be the "Gorillaz".

gorillaz are unreal, feel good inc is my favourite song from the new album, although it is different.

i'd still advise the first album to everyone though.

Space Monkeys vs. Gorillaz does have a few originals, but it and 'G-Sides' ane mainly remix albums.
