Mellow Jazz (sorta)

I just threw it together tonight in my basement without really practicing much. It sort of a blues/jazz combo. I don't know. I don't keep track of much more that "I like it" when it comes to genres.

(First one.)

Eventually, I'll probably make it into a full song. But it's hard to find time anymore for serious projects. Mainly, I just wanted to test out my laptop's recording ability and sound card.

I like it. Except for the chorus effect on the guitar. It would sound better if you toned down the brightness on that one, especially if it's the same channel you're doing the percussive hits on.

I love the lead work though, very very tasteful. I love the little change you threw in there too. Sax is sexy, but this is sexy enough.

There isn't any chorus...

And it's bright because it's acoustic sim with reverb. It's supposed to be used for a different style of playing, like light random acoustic things (sorta like in Diablo). But I used it for this. Plus I recorded at a low volume in mono, so I didn't really get a good listen to it myself yet.

The leads are pure unadultered SEX.

Does that mean I won't have more leads? :o

Anyway, I have several songs I'm writing in this style. Similar, yet distinctly different.

Also funk.
