I gave up my musical education because I was scared my band director was going to have me arrested.

I played tenor sax.

I still play guitar, and occaisionally piano.

Triangle.
...
And six string.

-$87. It plays like a hand-made banjo. And I don't mean some finely crafted instrument made in the vatican by his holiness and passed by god onto Isiah who begot Aziraphale who begot Dread C'Thulhu, who begot lots of cu-raaazy webcomics. I mean like "Hey clem, what happens if'n we string these two pieces of old city-slicker intestines across an old fish and some wood? Gyuh-huh!" and that's the authentic sound, I know because I just got "Dueling Banjos" on a disc from a friend.

I have a pretty sexy tenor sax at home. It's gun black, with gold engravings on it. Unfortunately, I agreed to let my dad lend it out to a friend for 7 weeks. Ah well, I should see it again come reading week.

I have a Yahama Xeno also! It's my baby... :D It's a bit heavy, and I find that you have to "blow harder" to get the notes out, but it seems to be much more in tune in the higher ranges than other trumpets I've played.

Trumpet, violin, piano. . .

But mostly trumpet. In fact, rarely anything else. Not a big fan of the Yamahas, to be honest. I wouldn't trade in my Bach Stradivarius for anything. Then again, my piccolo trumpet is a Yamaha. But my C trumpet is a Strad, too. So the Bachs win 2 - 1.

I'm trying to figure out how to play then harmonica. I pretty much suck.
However it seems the secondary objective of playing the harmonica is to annoy the crap out of your audience, in which case I'm a maestro.

This past semester at college marked the first time I ever took lessons for an instrument, specifically piano. It was a lot of fun, hopefully I can continue the lessons when my schedule clears up a bit.

The thing about musical instruments is, unlike the world of computer hardware, a x3 increase in price can actually give 3x the quality of sound in the hands of a capable player... I was just fortunate to inherit some money that the previous owner had specified was to be "spent on music".

I play a strange guitar-like instrument I found at a pawnshop. It has no hole, and no tuning head. It's small, funny looking, and has the number "1" chalked on it.

i like the stradivarius, also, but it was so much more expensive. i tried a few of them the same day i went shopping for the yamaha. i also tried a few jupiters. and this wild brand called phaeton. not great sounding, but they looked wild. one was a brushed brass finish, as opposed to the normal polished. a jet black one. one made of rose brass, which looks like copper.

i thought the yamaha was the best balance of price and quality.
