Thinking about a Floyd Rose

Im thinking about putting one on my strat. Does anyone have any experiences? Suggestsions? Thoughts?

Or do you think Im better off buying a whole new strat already installed with a tremolo system?

Are you talking about putting a Floyd Rose in your strat vs. getting a strat with a tremelo? What kind of strat do you own already?

I would stay away from factory tremelo in a strat ( at least in the mexican ones ), if I touch that thing more than once, just on accident, it will go out of tune. Playing around with divebombs is a no-no for me, hell, I can't even bring it anywhere with the bar still in because someone will try and play around with it and then I have to retune.

Floyd Rose all the way, can't beat the locking tremelo. Plus, you can operate it without the bar.

Its actually a Mexican strat.

The other thing I was considering was to buy an American strat without any tremolo at all, and then add the floyd rose.

you could just get a G&L

guitars by george fullerton and leo fender. basically the company leo fender made after he sold fender. most guitars were designed by him before he recently died. very good stuff.

I dislike G&L. From what I've played they just dont have the same sound or feel as a real Fender.
