What music do you like that you aren't supposed to but still give you a nice little feeling inside?

Avenged Sevenfold is kinda mine. so poppish, but everything is quite well performed on their new cd and i like the "melody over chops" feeling the leads give.

Richie Kotzen is another, this guy is a virtuoso, but his songs give a very poppish rock vibe. radio rock :P but it's still refreshing in a sense, or else i wouldn't like it much.

what are your sins? :p

i did enjoy the little frenzy intro riff of B.Y.O.B. and Revenga.

and the old system. nothing to go crazy over, but good party music.

i also love flamenco way too much for my own good.

I haven't heard anything other than their single, but I dont know about you, but I'm feeling some serious St. Anger quality drum recording in it :P.

I don't really know about my "guilty pleasures", I'd probobly get made fun of for liking them, but I still think they're amazing....Blondie and the Cranberries.

i agree about the drum sounding canny, but the guitars overwhelm this cd. Beast and the harlot is a song that really caught my ear. and the guy can sing pretty well too! i like the musical contrasts in their songs.

THough I'm mostly a metal/80's rock-fan, there's few songs I don't enjoy, really.

Christian Rock.

I'm not exactly religious, but christian rock gets me in a good peaceful mood.

Also: Linkin Park, Kelly Clarkson (ew, but she's hot.....meh), Ricky Martin, Greenday, Good Charlotte, Fallout Boy, All-American Rejects, and anything else pop-rocky that's played on the local party station. I hate ALL of the previously mentioned bands, but every once in a while I feel like giving in to the typical teenage conformist ways.

You'd only be afraid to listen to something if you thought it was crap. I think all of the music I listen to is awesome (otherwise I wouldn't listen to it), so... I guess I don't really have anything to post.

As a finn, I guess I can't really listen to ' Hymn of the Soviet Union ' as much as I do (or perhaps I can, considering I'm finnlandisierungt) but still.

i dont really think that way, i like loads of stuff people consider crappy but i wouldnt call it a guilty pleasure, or music i'm "not supposed to like".

Goo Goo Dolls. I can't get enough of them. I'm counting the days until their new CD.

This says what I wanted to say, but better.

There's some bands in this thread that I openly like. Hell, the Beatles are my favorite band, and your shame in liking them angers me. You really shouldn't be ashamed for liking any music.

Most any music. Emo sucks.

I only know one song by them, to be honest; Iris. Barely listen to it, despite the fact that it's quite beautiful. :/

Haha, yeah, you should give it another try. I wouldn't think you would like it that much, but "Iris" is a great and sad song (just how I like them). Johnny Rzeznik is a very talented writer, with words and music.
