My band's first EP

Woah, haven't posted on Massassi for ages. :)

So...

I'm the keyboard player and one of the songwriters of a band called "missFlag".
Yeah I know it's a weird name, it just randomly came up in a dream of our drummer, and we sort of stuck with it ever since. It doesn't have a meaning or anything.

Anyway, we're located in Israel, but hope to take our music worldwide. We've been playing together for about a year now, and just finished recording our first EP.

Our website is http://www.missflag.com . There's a link to a myspace page with 4 of the 5 recorded songs on the "our music" section. I'd be very grateful if you guys checked out the music and gave me your honest opinion about it.
Keep in mind that the mp3 quality is pretty low though.

Thanks!

Wow, I actually like it. Sounds good. Very original and one of the few times the singer doesnt suck.

Hm, I like it, but mostly because it sounds a lot like The Velvet Teen.

Thanks for the comments!

If any of you have heard all the songs, I'd really appreciate if you could go more into detail and write what you liked and didn't like about the band, what songs you thought were best, etc. Any feedback, good or bad, is helpful.

Yoshi, I'd be happy to send you a copy if you want. :) Just PM me your address or something.

Wow, it's pretty good. Does anybody else get a kind of coldplay vibe off it.

[If so, me liking it is an added bonus, because I don'e like Coldplay.]
nope.

I really like it. It sounds like Coldplay and U2 had a baby. An awesome baby.
Think while it's still legal.

It doesn't sound like Coldplay or U2. They suck. It sounds like Velvet Teen.

Thanks for the great feedback!

Well, Coldplay and U2 have been pretty big influences on our music. As well as Radiohead, Muse, Jeff Buckley and many others.
Never heard of Velvet Teen though... :o

Or Pilate... :o

wow... from everyone else's responses I can't wait to hear it... Sadly, I'm at work and don't have access to sound. But I'l definately be checking it out when I get home.

Things I can comment on:

Website is well designed but a bit simple... Not a bad look, but just a bit... boring.

Also, I looked in the gallery, and the pictures look very good, if not a bit blurry. Stage presence looks to be very strong, which is a major plus.

Anyway, cheers, and good luck with your music career.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Lassev: I guess there was something captivating in savagery, because I liked it.
