Recording On-The-Go

My credit limit just got raised by $10k and like all Americans, I love debt... so...

I'm looking to go mobile with my recording equipment, an On-the-Road Studio. I'm looking to record live shows and then still have the ability to go home and do basic demo recording. Here's what I'm looking at getting and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions either about the products.

15.4-inch : 2Ghz Intel Dual Core MacBook Pro w/ student discount - I'm looking at these because dual core processors would be able to handle recording apps/processes very quickly. The new MacBooks are pretty and can run both OS X and Windows XP and my student discount makes it a manageable price.

Logic 7 (Academic) - Mac-based recording software. ProTools messes with your mind.

MOTU Audio Interface - I'll probably opt for the USB 2.0 option. This is one cool motha cause it's a mobile mixer/preamp that'll sync nicely to my computer and be completely totable.

Shure SM57 - 4 of these (I already own 3 so it's not a big deal getting one more). Great all-purpose mics.

AudioTechnica AT822 - Thinking about using this for live sound recording. It says it's good for live purposes and I've heard some home demo recordings using it.

AudioTechnica AT4033CL - This is my other choice in terms of condenser mics. This is the mic I've recorded 99% of my vocals on at my friend's studio and so I know it's capable of what I want it for.

Thoughts?

I've good things about both those mics but I've never used them so I can't really offer my opinion.

As for the interface, the 828mkII kicks ***, I love mine. I'd go with the Firewire one, since the USB 2.0 one came out not that long ago, who knows if there are issues with it yet. I can get mine done to 64 samples of latency (1.3 ms), haven't even tried it lower yet. The preamps sound fine and the A/D converters are simply the best in the price range.

If you don't need the SMPTE or ADAT options, you might want to check out the MOTU Ultralite, or for the ultimate portability the MOTU Traveler, which is bus-powered. Very nice piece of kit.
