My friend sent me this video. It was made in the 80's. Its a music video of a song done by a HUGE amount of rock/metal artists. Almost every famous band/musician performed on this song. It was made to raise money for a charity called Hear N' Aid. Its a very cool video, great guitar work but typical cheesy metal chord riff (I still love it :o )

Got contributions from the guitar players or singers (or both) of almost anyone you can name: Judas Priest, Queensyrche (My favorite singer..), Yngwie Malmsteen, Iron Maiden, Dio (Main attraction), Dokken, Quiet Riot, Tesla, Twisted Sister, Blue Oyster Cult, JOURNEY, Motley Crue,

Anyways, enjoy. Some killer guitar stuff on the solo's, pretty catchy.

I was tapping my foot!

I'd heard about this but never seen the full thing.

Yngwie's solo was typical... ;)

Yea, I predicted Yngwie's as well. He made it fit though, so whatever.

Well, I guess I have to congradulate him on people knowing that he popularized the harmonic minor crap he does always. I knew his solo's were his without even watching the video so I guess thats pretty good in a style sort of way.

Wow, that sucked. I liked how every singer sounded exactly like the next.

Yeah kinda alot.

WAY too cheesy for me. The gutair work was fun, but the lyrics and those parts when they were all standing together singing was almost unbearably cringe-worthy.
The tired anthem of a loser and a hypocrite.

The singers were intentionally going for a Dio sound, they actually sound very different for the most part.

Vincent - You're telling me Dokken singer sounds like Dio?!?!

that was ****ing awful

until David St Hubbins & Derek Smalls made an appearance.

that was ****ing brilliant.

but yeah, all the singers had a nasty high pitched whelp that sounded the same from line to line.

not something i'd listen to twice.

Although i might watch the video again for Hubbins & Smalls.
