I've got a couple mix tapes for my car, figure I'd share them with you all. And yes, these are mostly songs I sing to at the top of my lungs in the car:
MIX TAPE 1
Side 1
Heaven On Their Minds - Jesus Christ Superstar
Everything You Want - Vertical Horizon
Sister Golden Hair - America
Only In Your Heart - America
Freshmen - The Verve Pipe
Phantom of the Opera - The Phantom of the Opera
Bleed - Cold
Side 2
Gesthemene - Jesus Christ Superstar
All I Ask Of You - The Phantom of the Opera
Elephent Love Medley - Moulin Rouge
Your Song - Moulin Rouge
Come What May - Moulin Rouge
The Neverending Story theme - The Neverending Story movie
Darkness - Disturbed
MIX TAPE 2
Side 1
Jack's Lament - The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Last Unicorn - America (from "The Last Unicorn" movie)
Bring Me to Life - Evanescence
The Impossible Dream - Man of La Mancha
The Sound of Silence - Simon and Garfunkle
Bookends - Simon and Garfunkle
Whatever You Became - Cold
Cure My Tragedy - Cold
Losing My Religion - R.E.M.
King of Wishful Thinking - Go West
Pardon Me (acoustic version) - Incubus
Colorblind - Counting Crows
Gollum's Song - from The Lord of the Rings movies
Side 2
What's This? - The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Schmuel Song - The Last Five Years
A Whole New World - Disney's Aladdin
Faith of the Heart - theme for Enterprise
Dulcinea - Man of La Mancha
No One - Cold
Rain Song - Cold
Hello - Evanescence
Yesterday - The Beatles
I am a Rock - Simon and Garfunkle
Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon and Garfunkle
Into the West - from The Lord of the Rings movies
The first mix tape I made back in December and have listened/sung to it a bajillion times, so I finally got around to making a new one. I can sing most everything on the first mix (though parts of "Come What May" have note changes I can't quite seem to do). I'm thinking of making a new version of the tape because I now have tapes that can hold more music on it, and my current mix tape is degrading at the beginning of "Gesthemene" which makes me sad. I need access to some songs I don't have handy though before I can do that.
The second mix tape, as you may have figured out, consists of a lot more depressing songs. I have a low voice -- I can't sing a lot of happier songs, though I'll admit I like to get all emotional and into my singing, so... yeah. The Cold songs on side 1 actually give me the most trouble strangely enough, though Bring Me To Life ain't easy either. I have no idea why broadway songs seem easier at times than radio songs... It'll take me some time to learn the words well enough for all these songs to sing them anywhere near decent, but fortunately I'm the type that doesn't have a problem listening to a song I like a bajillion times. That's good, because I NEED to listen to a song a bajillion times to sing it well enough.
ANYWAY....
