Hey, what video game you think has the best music? I would say...FF7. Actually I like all the music from all the FF's.

But I agree. FF games have neat soundtracks.

Metal Gear Solid 3. MGS 1 and 2 both have good music, too, but I like MGS 3 the best.

To hell with you all!
With the proper atmosphere [Whitch it has] Tib Suns music can turn some shotty rts into a game where your afraid of whats over that hill.
Oh and Total Annihilation!

Besides Final Fantasies, C&C games have pretty neat soundtracks (by Frank Klepacki), as well as Deus Ex (by Alexander Brandon).. and Hitman soundtracks by Jesper Kyd (that guy rocks). And OMF theme deserves to be mentioned separately.

Oh, and of course music from old games like Duke Nukem 3D and Doom.... by Bobby Prince, I think.

I am obligated to say Deus Ex.

Splinter Cell also had really good music. It was never really intrusive, but it set the mood perfectly. A great example is the Bank level in Chaos Theory.

I agrees, although some of the crappy techno ones were even worse than the rock songs. I don't know what breaking benjamin was doing there, ick

My Brother borrowed Baten Kaitos last year - it's got a ton of good tunes.
