Remember Flexor's badass songs? Where can I get those? I've been looking everywhere for his collection online but I've had no luck so far. Any of you guys have his collection?

Funny this thread should pop up on that one random day of the month when I'm bored enough to go browse on forums I (supposedly) don't post on anymore.

I used to have stuff on some download sites, but I never updated and most of it got lost when they moved servers and stuff like that.

When I started posting stuff I did in here, I was just experimenting on a crappy system too slow to handle any more than 4-5 unprocessed channels (with no FX) at one given time. After a few years I got myself a new computer (one good enough to get into production seriousely), and shortly after that I pretty much left the community for good (aside for some rare and completely random posts like this one). Since the standards I hold my work to nowadays is more or less that of professional quality EDM, I rarely keep finished products unless they meet those standards, and my projects can drag on for months at a time unfinished. There wasn't much sense in keeping my old stuff either, other than those two or three tracks that I had the most fun making back in the days (for nostalgia's sake). The final product never really held any value anyways - I play around with sound much like you'd play with a video game.

Here's one of the older tracks I kept:

Sounds like something you'd hear on the weather network :P

Hey Flex, stop being dead to the community. Where can we hear your new stuff?

I have about a dozen songs on my old computer, but I'm super lazy. Then again, I'm also moving out soon, so maybe I'll find time for it. I'll upload them as soon as I get around to it.

FLEX!!!! WOOT!

Crystal Nova FTW!

It would be really cool to get some master online source up, that holds all of Flexor's stuff to date. Good for newcomers, or for us who got into the game a little late and/or just missed some of the songs that were put out.
May the mass times acceleration be with you.

I made some rar of his tracks I had some months ago when Genki asked, but I've deleted them (bwahaha) so I guess Genki has that rar or then not.

Flex, if you're still reading this thread, do you still use Fruity Loops? I just hooked my friend up with a...legitimate...copy, and was curious if there was anything better he could be using. He's looking for the best tools available to him.
Hey Flex, stop being dead to the community. Where can we hear your new stuff?
What I was trying to get to in my previous post is that I don't keep most of the stuff I do nowadays. Back in the day I was just getting into production, and it was nice to have feedback from the community, but to this day when I listen to the stuff I did back then, I cringe. It's served it's purpose as a learning tool, and I've since moved on. I don't know if you remember, but near the end, when I was posting up mp3s in here, I could rarely get any comments, and when I did, they were never the criticism that I needed. Now I seek advice from proffessional producers who can really help me with the fine technical details that the average listener won't even pick up on, so I don't really bother sharing the stuff I do anymore, and that means there isn't much use in keeping hordes of high bitrate mp3s that only hog up space on my tiny hard drive.

However, (and don't you all get your hopes up :p) I might be getting back into editing once UT2k7 comes out - and that might give me an excuse to finish tracks again (and an excuse to make more dark tempests) . :p

The sequencer itself won't make that much of a difference, it's how you use it that counts. The later versions of FL are used by a ton of proffessional producers (infected mushroom for instance) and pro studios. It also comes with some top notch synths (sytrus & 3osc), and handles plug ins better than most other sequencers (in my experience). Before starting to assemble a giant collection of tools that you'll never end up using (like alot of noobs do), it's better to just get into it right away, and as you devellop your skills with the program, you'll have a better idea of exactly what tools you'll need.

Oh, he uses it for...hours a day. He's getting really good with it I think. But I was just wondering if there was anything better in your opinion. I know a lot of pros use it, but I still thought you might say Acid was better or something like that, in which case I'd tell him to try that out.

But yeah, he's getting along swimmingly with it. Thanks for the input though :)
