Help I keep getting the **** shocked outta me

ok, I have a small 50watt tube amp with a crappy 8" jensen speaker.. All I was simply tring to do was splice the wires from the amp, and connect it too a new speaker in a box..

Well now everytime I touch something metal from the amp power switch to the guitar strings I get the **** shocked outta me.. I even re attached the wires to the old speaker just like it all was before I even started screwing with it... still shocking.. I tried different guitars and different power outlets.. I have not tried a different extension cord.

I wish I knew something about electrical circuits :(

Anyone have some knowledge of why this would be happening?

the new speaker probably doesn't have the same grounding polarity as the old speaker. and did you even bother checking the ohming? you're lucky you didn't blow up the amp.

maybe also by splicing the cables you accidently removed the ground inside the amp, and you need to open it up to fix it.

well.. I reconnected the original wires back together and made them like new agian. I just ran new wire from the old speaker to the new speaker so they are both playing..but yeah it's probably going to blow something but honestly, if that happens its no big loss..but it actually sounds pretty good and gets pretty loud
