Why is SAJN talking about the Deftones!? It isn't SOAD! He must be crazy!

Actually, it is kind of SOAD related. Serj Tankian co-wrote and sang in the song "Mein" on their new album 'Saturday Night Wrist'. My friend bought the album, he said it has a few awesome songs, a few junk hardcore ones, and a really stupid one that some girl ruins by rapping about foreskin or something....Oh and something about rats? Anyone else have this album?

Oh yeah. Here are some clips from the song "Mein"....But just to piss you off, it's only the parts where Serj sing. Bwahahaha!

It sucks that you'd degrade a wonderful band with crap about how you only like them because some talentless Armenian sings on one of thier songs. Perhaps you should actually listen to them before deciding "they're entertaining because my idol wrote a song with them!"

P.S. this album rules. The ambient rock sound they pull off is amazing.

I actually never said I liked or disliked the band or the album. I just said my friend bought the album and that Serj sang on one of their songs. Way to read, hippy.

Hippy? That's cute, fatty. You made it a point to show your friend's lame opinion of the album, and showed that you only have interest in it because that tone-deaf Caucasian happens to "perform" with them.

You're hating Serj is cute because it's so uncalled for and it's based on 100% ignorance. Awww....

Awww, Kyle needs to come to meet me in person and tell me to blow him.

Oh, and I guess saying it's 100% ignorance is cute, it's not like I don't have a copy of their first two albums, and it certainly isn't like I have a background in music to base my opinion that "he can't sing worth ****." Awwww....good work, fatty.

Right, so because you have a background in music you can tell who sucks and who doesn't? Wow. Most of us uneducated heathens just go by what actually sounds good to our untrained heathen ears. Hippy. Those stupid stupid System of a Down fans. All couple million of em, stupid.

To quote Joncy: "DURRRRR"

I would say that a background in music makes me more than capable of forming my opinion as to what sounds good and what doesn't. That seems like common sense.

Millions of people like numerous ****ty bands, it doesn't make them less ****ty. Just as millions of people suported communism, it doesn't make it a good idea.

Also, where's this "hippy" crap coming from?

Having a background in music doesn't suddenly make your opinion any better than someone else's opinion. People listen to music and if they enjoy the sound of it they keep listening to it. It just amazes me that such an amazingly trained person like yourself can't even hear the harmonizing that Serj and Daron produce in their music. System of a Down is loved by millions of fans as well as other people. Their albums get good reviews from a LOT of people because it's good music. Maybe if it was only good reviews from one or two magazines, but it isn't. It's from everywhere.

It's this amazing thing about opinions, they tend to be personal. And no, I don't like the chords they produce vocally. I don't mind the instrumentals, but it is my opinion that they'd be better off with different vocals.

Wow. Since I'm pretty sure both of you agree that statements of valuation concerning your music are highly subjective, and neither of you are expressing absolutes, why not argue at least slightly more cordially? Just a suggestion.

Or at least do better at verbal jousting. I mean, seriously. Swap the dildos for lances.

Serj works well with SoaD. Chino works well with Deftones.

I don't think the two should have mixed.

I think it worked out well for that one line in that song, but I don't think his voice would fit any of their other stuff.

They didn't mix well.

But that's because Serj really doesn't work in anything but SoaD, and rarely enough at that nowadays.

Chino's voice mixes well with ambient or melodic voices extremely well (see: Bender, see also: Passenger).

Pink Cellphone is one of the grossest/most unnecessary songs ever.
