Rediscover an album!

I feel inspired to make this thread, because I just realised it had been months since I listened to any Queen. I am currently OVERMOOGING LIKE A FINN to Fat Bottomed Girls from the Queen and Paul Rodgers Live album. Too much Kooks, Meatloaf, Pink and various others had distracted me from my true self.

Go forth musical Massassians! Dig up an album you've been neglecting! Make yourselves all happy and that.

I put Radiohead - The Bends in my car stacker two weeks ago after not listening to it for a good year at least. It's still in my car.

I was just thinking about making a thread like this. My story goes like this:

Last year I was in the US for Christmas and realized that I needed to buy music because it's hard to get in India. I ended up buying 4 CDs, 3 of which are unimportant to this story.

The one important CD was the album Shingo Japanese Remix Album by The Vandals. Knowing the Vandals to be a silly band, I assumed that this was a silly title and bought the CD expecting it to be normal Vandals fare. However, when I got home and put the CD in my drive, I was horrified to learn that it was indeed an album of Japanese remixes by Shingo! I put the CD away, never to listen to it again.

Until Wednesday! This Wednesday I was looking for something to listen to while I waited to for my lunch to cook. Recalling that I hadn't hated the songs on the album when I first listened to it and looking for something a bit different, I popped the CD in and sat down to read. What I heard was glorious. I hadn't taken the time to fully appreciate the beauty of Vandals songs remixed into fantastic Japanese house/breakbeat song and I had missed out big time.

Whoo.

I just recently listened to Funeral by The Arcade Fire again, forgot how great it was.

I rediscovered Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. It's been ages since I've listened to it.

Relistening to some Rammstein stuff. Haven't really listened to them since ~3 years ago when I was in high school.
