Here's one of our new songs we just got the masters back for. No one's really heard it except for us. Lemme know what you think. Mild language.

The Futurists - One of Us.mp3

It's a song about zombies, sex, and drugs. Go for it.

Its really good, I like it lots. Only thing I didn't like was the interlude at about 2:45. Other than that, nice work! :)

Daaaanke alles. It was a weird recording session and so I'm glad it turned out okay.

Also, for those of you that have heard the older stuff, could you tell we changed members? Because if you read the previous sentence and say "Wait, you changed members?" then it's perfect.

I couldn't tell any difference. The guitar and the vocals sound the same as before. The entire song had a very Futurists sound to it.

Seriously awesome. The chorus is really catchy.

Although I agree with the interlude bit, I was waiting for it to build up but it didnt. That part was a bit flat. Otherwise though, farking brilliant.

Awesome, awesome.

Your voice has grown a lot, and you sound really amazing.

Thanks guys. I'll start posting the other songs fairly soon. I have to be kind of careful about which songs I upload, who finds them, and that kind of stuff. It's weird if you don't really understand it. I really shouldn't be posting mp3s that you can download but... I don't really care. It's technically not in the contract.

I played it for some peeps, here's their thoughts:

"well-recorded"

"this isn't my kind of music really but it sounds pretty good for music i don't like"

"I wouldn't really listen to it on purpose but I could totally hear it on the radio or something"

"I like the singing better than some other singing that I could imagine it having if it were a song on the radio"

I think that means it has pop potential but doesn't have much appeal to the stuck-up indie crowd.

Ya, I don't really like the stuck-up indie crowd. It's pretty much music for people like me... and that hate hipsters/scene kids.

Meanwhile on the other side of the pond it could probably be quite popular in the realms of indie, although when I say Indie, don't think of it like you do over there. It's much better and without the majority of them being twats.

Edit: Actually to be frank it'd be popular with the emos.
nope.

It sounds exactly like the kind of stuff that the stuck-up indie kids would listen to, except not rubbish.

Haha. Well... I don't know, I feel weird getting into this discussion.

I don't like emos, indie kids, or pretty much anyone who's pretentious. If you're cool, then you're cool and I'll hang out and offer you beer and a place to stay (<3 u gris). As long as there's people that are open to new music and enjoy music for music and not enjoy it in order to look cool and "in the know" then I'll be ok.

I'm not going to lie, I want to open for Muse and be on the radio and have groupies and not have to pay for my own drugs.

I still never get what the hell Detty is on about. I understand what the North Americans are on about with indie kids, but I don;t get why the hell he goes on about "stuck-up indie kids". I've never bloody met one. :/
nope.

I have. They're usually chill and shy until you start talking about music and then they judge you and become *******s by how many unknown bands you know.
