Seeing as I haven't posted music here in... a couple years... here's something I did a few months ago.

I need to learn to rap. Seriously. I recorded this kind of grudgingly for my ex-gf at X-Mas, to give to her with a pair of tickets to go see Linkin Park. Funnily enough I wound up taking a friend because she was bound in the psych ward. :hist101:

Oh, and for anyone interested:

Guitar was a Fender Standard Telecaster w/rail pickups into a Mesa Nomad 45. Mic'ed off-axis with a SM57.

Bass was an OLP Tony Levin 5-string DI'ed and processed with AmpegSVX.

Drums are EZDrummer with the Drumkit From Hell expansion.

Other synths are done with Reason 3.

Score. You've gotten a lot better at every instrument (vocals included). It sounds really clean too. Nice recording. I really wish I had more than a macbook built-in mic to record with >.<
Think while it's still legal.

Thank you, fine sir. I'll take the compliment even though the instrumentation in this song is incredibly stupid-easy and I think whole-heartedly that I completely ****ed up the vox. Thanks, though. :)

Hey you appreciated the mix, that I can take credit for, LOL.

I think MusiciansFriend.com is having a sale on entry-level studio gear kits (audio interface + mic + monitors as a kit for chap). Might want to check it out!

I can't get this reverbnation thing to play anything. The song loads completely but it won't play anything. The little blip just won't move.

:(
nope.
