Hey folks
I've been busy writing music, and now i'm up to 6 songs (around 30 minutes of music) demoed with electronic drums. style is progressive kinda metal, you'll see. been working here and there on this since around 2006, but these months have been very productive as i've started working with my band to get these in actual recording with vocals and stuff..
just thought i'd showcase the newest one i recorded, strangely enough, no solo, but i felt it didn't need one. we're not in the 80's anymore

recorded with my brand new boss gt-10, bass is actually my guitar with an octaver effect and loads of compression, it sounds neat. drums are cakewalk tts-1. it was fun to record.
for the late ones among you, this is what i've done so far. everything is 100% me. written on a score, then learned and recorded. wrote the drums as well. it's alot of work but damn is it fun. different recording modus operandis for each, over the years i've caught alot of new tricks.

low tunings = fun. 6 string tuned to B with a sinister sounding 13/16 to 6/8 riff

Heavy. i think this is the most technical composition so far, but it still holds its own. I prefer song VS technicality, but this one has both..

Very proggy and moody, this is the earliest song of this project.

Straight metal with a slight lamb of god influence, i guess teaching those kids all the songs they love has started to creep up in my playing.
and just for the hell of it, a solo i took on a sinergy song we cover in my band
[mp3]http://sbe.andrewingram.net/mus/demo/midnight.mp3[/mp3]
usually i just inspire myself from the original solo and go by gut feeling to get a decent shred type solo or rock type solo depending on the song. helps me work on my improvisation and phrasing skills too!
comments welcome! please, i trust of you not to distribute this stuff either. these are all early demos and definitely aren't up to par with my (Lucas) Original Vision (/Lucas)
