Wow I think this is my first post in the Music forum
Anyways, I dunno if you guys really listen to Eminem but we had half a conversation on this in that 'what is Vista doing' thread and it'll be out in the US by the time you read this, so -- any thoughts?
I've already heard the whole thing several times on Youtube and I like it enough to go grab the CD tomorrow (today). His new Slim Shady voice is still annoying, but I've gotten sort of used to it. Lyrically/rhymes he's on-point for the most part. Content-wise, the whole drugs / serial murder thing is sort of repetitive (which is the point I guess), but I still like it better than Encore. Flow-wise he's pretty dang solid and rips it on some tracks like Insane (his flow in Encore was really forced in some songs... like the first one and Mockingbird... so thank god he's not doing that anymore).
Underground, Beautiful, Insane, My Mom, Deja Vu are probably my favorite off the album. The two bonus tracks (Youtube if you haven't heard them) are pretty entertaining, too (especially My Darling, where the creepy deep Slim Shady voice wayyy back from the Slim Shady EP intro skit comes back).
I've heard that Relapse / Relapse 2 are supposed to be in the style of / evoke nostalgia for the Slim Shady LP and the Marshall Mathers LP + Eminem Show, respectively ... Relapse definitely feels like SSLP, so if it's true, I'm looking forward to Relpase 2 (since I liked the latter two better).
