Well if u want a working stargate, you'll have to wait. The mod is my primary concern, there's a level being made by two massassians, I consider them to be amongst the most talented JK mappers/terrainers, but I wont mention their names, they can if they want to.
One is doing some stuff during his free time, the other will hopefully mapping something to repay me for some weapons Ive been making for him. Although my mod's weapons take precidence, sorry.
The plan is:
Mod released first.
Then a short time later, the level.

The symbol for "Gua'ould Knoweldge"

More stars means you can access more of the Guaoulds knoweldge, which can allow to increase firerates of the zat and staff, and to unlick the Ribbon Device.

If you press the force ingame the screen flashes and it makes the sound, ie...yes your eyes flash.

Look in the original JK and you'll see that blast explosions appear in you view when you are hit by blaster fire same as when you shoot the enemies.

I personally liked the effects in SS3 better, and TDiR's are pretty kickass. I haven't seen much like that beam, although I can't even see that beam very well from it's small size. InstaGibJK's was pretty nifty though.

I haven't seen scorch marks, though, that's what's most impressive. Unfortunatly it can't wrap around players or surfaces.

The smoke isnt par's . Its polygons. It'll look much better on other peeps computers.
Zat + arms = over a 1000 polys.
Probably only the snake head for now.
All textures are mine.
ZAt explosion = sprite.

SGfan : No you're not the one of the mappers to my knowledge, I know you're making a stargate level, but not my stargate level. My stargate level is a big terrain with trees and a small base although I dont want to give it away since the guy might not even get close to finishing it.

It's a MOD, IMO, not even worth comparing to yours as it contains models based on Animae(sp?) characters from a show called Dragon Ball Z. While they're models look very nice and quite accurate to the show, they in no way compare to the realism in your models.

Basically that smoke is just a flat square with a smoke texture on it. Some have a dissolved texture, some have more full and spherical smoke mats. The smoke polys that appear dissolved Have the longest life, upto 5 seconds, making an illusion of transparent smoke dissolving and fading away.
But on my comp on non slowmo mode it doesnt work that well since my comp only creates 5 smokes instead of the 50.

Is there any way you can send me the code, mats, etc for the Smoke? The Epic team would be amazingly thankful, I'm sure smoke coming from the engines of the podracer would impress.

A question, is this more of an adventure title, an RPGish title (It's abviously SP, but if it's based on storyline or not?) and, in your oppinion, do you think there will be sand storms etc in your level, because that'd be the uber realism.
