This is my (pritty much) First map. Its my Dad's House (and i know the celing isnt on YET). Im still working on the kitchen, so i didnt take any shots of it, but I did take some shots of the Living room (which im working on still). The couch isnt done yet, Im still making the arms for it, and I have yet to add the Home theater stuff :X

Anyways, its my first map, and ill be doing my best on it. Here are the screen shots:

Not much to say, I'd personally say it's not post worthy yet until we start seeing more archi or textures. Looks GREAT for your first, I was.. well, lets say, unimaginitive on my first map. *Remembers the walls with pillars and water floating in mid air*

Much much much better. I like it. Although, the lighting looks funny in some spots.

Does Q3 like Bounce and Bouncescale as much as JO likes it, because this level'd look sweet with teh Bounce.

*q3map2 translator on*

Bounce and Bouncescale refer to radiosity in q3map2. Radiosity is, and if I've got this wrong someone please correct me, the habit of light that when it hits a surface, it will reflect some light (usually a smaller amount) off of it, typically in the color seen on the reflecting surface. Or something like that.

It's a nice way to get some swank lighting in the map, but it'll cost you compile time. I usually only do it on final lighting checks on that area.

BTW, you may want to tone down the intensity of some of the lights in the level, as there seem to be a few that are WAAAY too bright. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] Also hoping the furniture and such are detail brushes...

Beyond those (very minor) things, nice job. Definitely good to see people actually PRACTICING with Radiant than either throwing it out a window and muttering not-so-nice words about it, or releasing 27,000 "OMGBOXWITHSTUFFINIT" levels, before quitting because they ran out of ideas. Nice basic arcitecture!

Worthy to be dubbed as a amatureish expert mapper!

(Mind you mapping isnt all that hard.. Just it shouldnt take one long to figure things out..) I mean, I fiddled with GTDK and JORaident.. for about 2 hours.. and can do the most advanced stuff.. Plus I also agree on the mod idea! I myself am trying a bounty hunter mod approach.. AKA boba fett style [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif].. If ya consider any help in the modding/mapping area.. lemmie know! (Coding is a possibility!, however.. modeling.. NOOO! I suck at it! lol.. But Skinning yes I am good at, and as for textureing nope.. Sahdering.. Some but I aint all that good! Lastly sound effects/animations.. A 50/50 area there!)

If ya have MSN add me if ya like or e-mail with idea's I can either give ya advice on (My own Tutorial's guide to EASY JO MAPPING/MODING as opposed to the confuseing go thru and read the various tut's...) or have me do some of your bidding!

If curiosity has stricken you of my mod.. I got a cursor for the main title (menu) going.. A men background (a sweet 3d generated boba fett.. Lighting makes it hard to dertime it to be real or not.. and it looks fairly real!), nifty music, A mandolorian Aiming-Cursor (The tribe symbol for anicent bounty hunter's), A WIP Flamethrower (It has bugs.. At first.. the flame shows.. then when I change something.. all of a sudden.. it.. grrr...) and lastly your ever more famous boba fett.. oh yeah did I mention mele combat? (Forget sabers and force!)

Trust me, Aint a easy path to learn mapping/modding on one's own self.. Either gotta search for all tutorials and compare em.. Then go thru alot of hard crap to mend in your own style of how you perfer things in those err so called catigories!

Thanks for the offer on helping me with my mapping, but I dont need help. And as for moding, I dont need help with that either. Ive worked on mods, and even made modes for a long time, so help is not required, unless you want to join my mod, we are still looking for some more people to join the staff.

Scripting, Not the icraus kind.. The kind done in the map itself.. Jump pods, Traps, Animations, Triggers, The works lol.. (plus some related srcipting to entity movement, like if a door is punched in.. you will see dents form up..)
