Okay! Here's another idea; in one of the rooms put a water generator or something that is broken and the room is flooded, thus the reason for the water not flowing...which also explains why its there...unless you already have an idea for that.

and this is a DEATHMATCH map in a SCI-FI universe unexplained things are allowed to exist

or if you require explanation then those things are water pipes and they leaked

The level of the water should be recessed a bit, so its not on the same level as the floor surrounding it. It will make it look a lot better.

Also, I suggest changing the texture on the ground under the water to something other than what is on the walkways.

i would consider these changes but i am done with everything but texturing and testing... i considered making the waterlevel lower but there isn't much of a point anymore also i don't want to hurt the framerate any more than i already have currently the framerates are horrible in certain situations and smooth in others

example: my computer with the integrated card ranges from 14-45fps and that INCLUDES staring at a wall... same computer with voodoo 2 only drops to 45fps and gets up to 98fps

i hate to announce this but...

until i can either A. get a new computer or B. resolve the weird problem with JK having horrible framerates with my new video card ... i will be taking a break from editing...

NOTE: A might happen sooner than B but ... who knows...

don't worry these projects will be finished

maybe this will make y'all happy i scaled the floor texture for ya and if you don't like the texture under the water then don't worry i'm just messing around with the texturing on that at the moment...

NOTE: my video card issues are still not fixed but since all that's left is texturing i'll go ahead and continue work on this level

ok video card issues have been fixed.... JK runs fine now...

time to take a look at my current WIPs
Dark Temple: still in progress
Frag-o-Matic Trouble: still in progress
The Castle of Death: mostly dead ... i'm sick of working on it but i am not deleting the project.
Unnamed SP Project: actual editing on hold while i plan out some of the finer points of the story and design ideas
Pit of Doom SE: will be in progress soon

thanks to MaDa's speedy work with a texture request i had.... the FINAL screens are ready.. this is most likely how this will look when it's released... all that is left is item placement and one other small thing

I think he was referring to lighting that couldn't just be done by applying full Extra light to all surfaces. But hey, it's gobbed up, so gd luck!

the screens just don't show the lighting.... when in the upper area of the central room there is a subtle amount of lighting... only noticable if you start shooting... and 4 other areas (the part where the "pipes" go into an area above the cieling in the spots where the wallway turns)
