Wow. Mine has been left in the dust.

That is excellent.
Does the inner ring rotate? Do the chevrons lock and light?

How do you do it? I don't know if I could ever spend enough time, without going insane, to make something like that.

The inner ring texture could use a bit of work (looks out of place), but the rest is excellent.

Nice Stargate. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
There are two additional chevrons on the bottom of the gate but they are rarely if ever seen. Not something I particularly care about. Just a little FYI.

Keep up the work. I can't wait to play this.

Please, inlighten us on the water effect!

I'm guessing a very small sector of water with a portal cog.

Looks good, and do tell, does it actually WORK? I'd like to think the player could go to any place they wanted to...?

You could make a nice little system that lets the player choose destination, activate the stargate, etc.

looks good, ruth, but you are missing the two lower chevrons [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] they're mainly covered by the solid bases in most planetary stargates, but on earth they are uncovered and visible. i'm guessing an iris is too much to ask [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

I can't believe I forgot to mention the last two chevrons. It's mainly mentioned in the episode where Jack gets the ancients knowledge.

I can probably make a cog for that stargate if you want. I am making one for mine and it should be easily altered for yours.

cheers

Actually, they're just stabilizers, as well as where the power conduits connect to the stargate. Without them, the stargate would create a localized earthquake equivelant to about a 4.0, and that would draw suspicion.

2003-05-26, 7:19 PM #24
Yeah... i dont thnk they are missle launchers, cause in the show, the missles come from the ceiling a bit farther back. it was in the one where they shot missles though the gate to try and kill the guys at the other end who were guarding it.

Actually Cazor, the missiles came from a portable missile launching stand thingie. They move it into the gate room when it is needed.

If you want to see it go to http://www.stargate-sg1.com/home/interact/index.html# and click on the gate room button at the bottom.

Ruthervain, you have finally found something from stargate that my brother didn't remember!!! He didn't think that those clamp supports were there (not the red things but the ones with the 3 holes in them)

Cazor, I am so sorry. You were right [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] the missiles did come from above. I watched disclosure just now and saw that. I was wrong, but I wonder where those missiles from that website were used.
Sorry.
