Main Hallway, back entrance to a mine. Not exactly completed, and yes I know about the lights on the ceiling.

A little dark right now, but its a tunnel going down.

Main bridge, and the little blocks are (will) be lights, when I texture them.

As you can see, the bridge can be damaged, and it can fall apart just by landing on it hard. (aka force jumping) I'm quite proud of this, since it actually worked on my first try, destroying not only a section of the bridge, but the light brush, and turned off the light entities also. I was soooo happy! (Yes, I know it's sad.)

A lo-res shot didn't do this screenie justice, so I left it bigger. This will be where you are when you go down that tunnel previously. Currently, I'm just noclipping, but I thought it looked really cool. Also, the red lights you see everywhere, they do a slow strobe, because you broke into the rear entrance. At this point in the level, Jan is shutting down the security system, but you got to keep moving in order to avoid being spotted and overwhelmed.

I would add more variation in textures and additional detail in the architecture.

It's going to have a Deus Ex-type of gamestyle. You can charge in guns ablazing, or go sneaking around, which I recommend. Unless you're really good with guns, you sure as heck won't want to be destroying everything in site. It is a mine, and things do fall apart. I plan on having so many func_breakable's in this map, that if you so much as use an explosive on anything but steel, it'll fall apart. I don't want to ruin it for you guys though, especially since I'm no-where near done yet. I still need someone to do Jan's voice [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

A) Widen it out a little - seems narrow.

B) Whoever does Jan's voice, just make sure they don't suck, and make sure the sample rate isn't of poor quality.

Texturing never was my strong suite, but I do plan on having some better textures. I am looking for better textures in the main hallway (the completed one), and definately more rock textures.

I'm afraid to add too much detail, since in that cave area with the bridge, it's made out of 2 VERY large patches, to give the carved out look.

Don't be afraid to add detail. What you have is hardly any.

Deus Ex = OWNAGE

That Level = OWNAGE

Deus Ex is (in my book)is one of the best games ever made. The graphics weren't great, but the storyline more than made up for it. Dude, if you can pull something like that off, I'll reinstall Outcast to play it.

Actually, yeah I think DX's graphics were quite great... Back in 2000, and especially with the attention to detail the designers had.

Hey, the lights on the ceiling in the hallway...

Just kidding.

The level looks good dude. DX is good. This sp mod your making is gonna be great.

The pictures of the bridge almost remind me of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, with the invisible bridge at the end. That would look cool in this kind of level. You do not think you can walk over it until someone tries it. All you have to do is look at it from a different angle.
