Alrighty....after many hours, i present my finshed dodge viper.

Made in animation:master, 3447 patches, final pic took about 15 min to render

There were some more things that i would have liked to do on the model, but constraints of AM prevented me from doing them. Overall i'm pretty happy with the model, especially with it being my first car model.

Before i show the pics, i want to say a big thank you to everyone who replied to the other thread and to this thread. Your input really helps a lot.

And now for the point you've all been waiting for (i hope )

Dark, cryptic, mystifying...this is Delphian.

The back looks a little...wierd... I don't know if thats how they look nowadays, but it still looks weird, ohterwise a most excellent model! Also: candy-apple-red is much cooler than the racing stripes.

yeah....there ARE some parts of the model i'm not totally happy with, but it was my first car and i learned a lot with it. for now i'd like to move on and work on other things instead of beating a dead dog. or horse. or cow for that matter.

Reflections aren't textures, and they aren't that good because there's nothing to reflect. If you put it in an actual environment it would look much better.

blah i didnt mean textures. but even if there is only white to reflect, it shouldnt look like that.
try rendering in a different program

thanks emon. that and Animation Master has a pretty bad renderer...something like 3ds Max would have MUCH better reflections.


EDIT: and no, i can't render it in a different program. AM uses patches, not polygons like almost every other program. i CAN export it in polies, but it butchers the model.

I'd say the textures are fine in the right place.....it's just.....some part of the model seems off. BTW, make a GT2 version, and I'll be very impressed. Make the 2003 convertible.....I'll be astounded.

Awesome... Now I know I picked the right guy... wait, are patches going to interfere with the game engine I'm purchasing? Or do most game engines support both?

games usually don't support patches, but i just export my models in poly mode. They wouldn't look good in most 3d software, but with smoothing they look fine in games.
