Ok, I got bored today and decided to make a new map based of my dreamcast version of Phantasy Star Online. I'm intending for it to be a small duel level. The lava moves and there is a lava fall (shown in 3rd pic). Since I have some more time until the file server is online I have time to work on it. Any comments or suggestions would be appricated. Thanks [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

Put some more......."stuff" in it. That's only the other thing it really needs......'stuff'.

i really like it, but yes it does need more stuff maybe lying around, or statues or something. i really like that water/lava fall. try and scale the flat walls textures, same with the lava, you notice a pattern.

I don't think it needs more stuff, just something none-red.

Ah the infamous large rumbling area from Phantasy Star Online, good representation. But it doesn't need much more , since that's all there is in that game. Besides a bunch of crates scattered around the edge of the platform containing muchly wanted items.(and more often than not, just crap)

I dunno.. What "stuff" would you put in? You could use crates and boxes but...ehh.

Sometimes simplicity makes for good art. I look forward to playing this map.

Thanks guys. I added some crates. There is also one crate with a Meseta box in it [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif] . Let me know if I should keep the boxes. If you want to try it out I finally got all the bugs worked out of it I think you can download it from the link at the bottom. Let me know if you find any bugs. Note no bot support yet! I will add it as soon as Massassi's file servers are unbugged and I can submit it [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

As soon as I see this level, I hear the music from Metriod Prime, from the Lava area...dam man, lookin good. I think that open circle should have some sort of DANGER thing that you should watch out for while dueling or what ever. That'd be awesome if you could make random fireballs pop out of the lava and go across the platform...IF is good tho. Only if. I am sure as heck gonna d/l this when its out. Full version i mean.

Dude! That looks great! All we need is a PSO weapon and character mod! You should make more PSO levels like maybe Pioneer 2 or the place you fight Dark Falz [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Can you give a link to the .map file? I just want to see HOW you made the lavafall, out of curiosity. I don't know how to make one myself. But to me, it looks paper thin...

I know, since I just made a waterfall the same way for my own map. He made a bevel with an animated flowing lava texture, and placed it just the way a waterfall would look and added a bunch of little fires at the base. It looks great!
