i decided to rework my first map and make it worth releasing

oh and ignore the bad framerate i had to turn the resolution up to help reduce the jagged edges because i forgot to turn FSAA on before loading up Q3 and switching the resolution was quicker

small note: this is only the beginning of the changes

You are going to add a bit more, right? Well, I like the theme, it seems nice. I have a suggestion for you; canyons and paths through them.

this isn't going to be a big map considering th already long compile times on my slow computer the main additions are stars that lead up to walkways that go over the lava pit

Hmmm... the lava looks weird.... maybe you should try a different texture?

Also, the platforms should be higher out of the lava. Common sence tells me the lava could easily slosh over these platforms... make 'em about 4-5 times as tall, who knows? You might like it. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

actually the lava isn't deep enough for that to happenyeah i'm gonna try to figure out why the lava doesn't seem to be affected visually by the fog

Post more screenshots showing more areas of the level. Right now all we can be sure exists is a pool of lava with a few platforms, an elevated floor above that, and another floor above THAT. Post more, please. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

And now, adieu to you, sir. Or ma'am. Whoever -- whatever you are. *Shudder*

there IS text that is to be read in these threads... big map != good map ... this is for Quake3 the point of any Q3 map should be a fast and furious deathmatch

I'd say that you need to add a little more detail. Some suggestions:

Add overhangs around all the walls

More depth to the platforms in the lava

It's coming along nicely. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
