Whelp, back to the modeling scene for me. First showcased model in about 2 months:

Quite a high polly model for just being a Gothic Torch, but oh well. Did this by request of GothicX. It's for some JO level he's doing.

Build time: 20 minutes

Ideas? Critiscism? SineNomen's Underpants?

its a nice model, would work well in a gothic kinda setting, maybe you could add more detail to the stick bit coming out of the bottom with the ball on the end (sorry, no good with details) or you could just get an elite texture for that area, it just looks a little plain

But really, I like your model. A lot. And threads with high post counts get more replies. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? You'll have to decide for yourself. Just give the word, and I'll leave. Really. Maybe. Probably. Sorta.

Hmmm... Perhaps if GothicX approves I'll make it jemmed... Give the hilt some jemming. I already added a spoke from the handle to the hilt to make for realism. Any other suggestions?

If you want to get really nit-picky:
The curls on the ends of the vertical bar things don't...curl as much as in the photo.

I think Gems could be easily created with textures. You don't have to model every little detail.

I noticed that as well, but didn't really care to bother it. Not much of a change in feel as it is look.

I need those textures so I can post the jemmed version with jems that at least show out. We might want a golden texture now, rather then a metal texture. I say that just as you send me the metal texture via e-mail -.-

Due to bad immage compression, the texture's quality is hard to see. The gems are deffusive.

:-D I forgot to meantion that the gems can be absolutely any color under the rainbow. All I have to do is press the defusive button and choose one. So, post a color and I'll post a screenshot!
