Just a few sketches I did that someday I hope to get time to model:

Droideka Arm

good old Desert Eagle .50

This is a character I made up, for when I learn to create player models for JO/JA

Comments, Burns, whatever just tell me what you think.

No kidding! Even those spots in the place of eyebrows are just like protoss! And the body looks human

to tell you honestly ive only played starcraft once or twice about 3 or 4 years ago and i wasnt that impressed. And i do admit out of the three (three right?) races I only played as protoss. And really, until you mentioned it, I hadnt noticed the likeness. I apologize for the coincidence, and unless it was subliminal, starcraft had no influence on the character design. I actually used the clasic alien face as inspiration and expanded upon it, thinking if i took away its nasal and mouth slits how would it breathe, thus the holes along the side, and so on.

Great drawings. Doesn't look like a protoss to me. They've got longer faces.

I wish I could draw as well... Makes me want to throw my sketchbook down-river...

Very, very nice. You've got a very good handle on light and shadow, and it's especially impressive that you use pencil. If I were you, I'd get some higher quality paper, makes everything look cleaner.

Would you believe I only use a regular mechanical pencil? I hate that art pencils crap, i think they are a waste of money. Anyway heres another one I did (in colored pencil this time):

Cheers,

(=EDIT=)The paper I use is just regular sketchbook paper, I like the rough texture and since I dont spend a lot of time on these it doesnt matter much

OMQ ITS TEH CAPTAIN PALNET!

-Seriously. If they made a Live Action Captain Planet Movie (the world would collapse inward upon itself) that's what he would look like.

I don't know how old you are, but you could seriously make a career out of this. You've clearly got the talent, and with some classes and whatnot, you could get a great job.

I knew that from seeing just the very top of his head. Me == X-men fanatic. I own a few old comics.

I'm VERY capable of nice comments. But if I don't like something, I'm very blunt about it. The honest truth is my game.

You've got great form, and I'm all the way with you on the paper. I have to have rough texture or my pictures don't turn out the way I want them to. If I had a scanner I'd show you guys some of my crappy drawings... Looks like we'll all just have to focus on the man-baby-worthy drawings.

Those are great sketches. I'm sure a game company would hire you out for those great ideas.

Personally, I don't see the obsession with .50 ActionExpress Desert Eagles, when the .357 Magnum versions hold more bullets and have less recoil. Oh well. They seem to work in action movies and games fairly well. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

But the .50 just has more bang for your buck, and if you can sustain the high impact, you can use those fewer bullets for more damage better then you can a .357, I'd use a .50 over a .357 any day. I like bang...

I never even saw the X-Men movies.

-C'mon. Can any of you honestly say that there isn't even a passing resemblance?

Oh but of course. Apart from the fact Captain Planet has green hair and a big yellow globe on his chest.

Those sketches are great.

I seldom see sketches posted here, and when I do see them they usually look to be about 3rd grade quality.

I was very pleasantly surprised, makes me want to go buy a scanner.

Your shading rocks, btw.
