Alright so the drop ship is used and based off of the aleins one.... But if anyone of you did by chance get the choice of watching the animated series of starshiptroopers Chronicles (Roughnecks) they used many many many space vehicles for platoon based missions. To tell ya the truth I follow alot of concept art, here is the ref links.
http://www.inetres.com/gp/anime/st/index4.html
*used from actual CGI content for pure reference*
http://www.trooperpx.com/RSTC/series4.html
*used from conceptual art, which shows there is mant idea's in sketch form.*
http://www.moviemonstermuseum.com/scifi.html
*Scroll down half way for actual model refrences.*

*Lastly refreence models that give me the egde and idea.*

Thnx for pointing this out, However due to your wisdom. I will Losely use this drop ship for minimal purpose of baseing model structure for a new model. I can distribute the file for others to use because it is a free model. The user of that site allows permission to be used non-commerically. Meaning no use of lisceneing or selling it, Which I have no real legal athuority to buy rights or sell this model.

Concept art/Model updates soon to come in the next 5 days minimum.

Looks nice. Despite being a horrible movie overall, Starship Troopers had nice special effects and cool looking ship designs. Its nice to see someone expanding upon the story.

Uh, DS pointed out that SilentSavur was expanding on the story.

And I thought Starship Troopers was a book.

It is a book, by Robert Heinlein. The movie was based on the book.

Alright, The book is losely published in the 50's. Think ww2 marines in space fighting bugs (nazi's). Bent on what real world propeganda went thru and rules of engagements.

Movie vs TV CGI animated series.

Space is unstable and most properties unkown. In the tv series, they use well designed space combat suits able for fast limb movements and the ability in dense gravity to move faster then anyone or anything. Has alot of attachements and gear for the super soilder for more idealistic and realisitic theories. The movie, A basic army uniform. Lots of nukes with no protection. And alot of possibilities for envionmental harm.

Weapons based off of gun shells, Big gun shells. Nukes over done and with alot of rushed idea's to no consideration of radiation or being in the blast diametre. Where as the show is more realistic, and you see more action that is more based towards real physic's then of blunt idea's.

More then one location in the tv show and the platoon number isn't seriously over done. You see the maruaders or mech suits/xo skeleton suits. More ship varities. More action sequences. It has a plot!

The movie, everyone said it better. Horribly sucked!

The tv series is by far understanding and simple to the point of making something real and the physics are on the mark of actually getting it right. To the point of those possibilites for outer space exploration being possible.

I liked the movie. It had nice fascist elements and cool uniforms.

Okay, now I get to say something. I read the book, it was lousy. I saw the TV series, it was basically pretend violence for little kids. I saw the movie, it was cool. It actually had a point.

And your models are freaking incredible.

Just to point out, your quote is not quite right. The actualy quote is, "Come on you apes! You want to live forever?"

Just thought I'd point that out. I'll go back to my corner now...

Hehe well, I find the tv show better and easier to understand as well towards the part of it being right and real. The movie was fun sure. Nude shower scene, or alot of gore. But I still think no real consideration to the space exploration or simple body protection is thought seriously.

I have a few more models. By request I cannot show them yet. Its for a JK aleins type of mod/tc. Hehehehehe.... And you didn't hear it from me, plus the idea of it being secret I will only hint.. So yeah, also I live in southern ontario, City of barrie... I was caught in a 50 million person from the area of iowa to most of ontario... Now that is alot of people... I may have another blackout for a day or so again... So if my prescence ins't around.. dont think of me dead [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]... See ya's later!
