I got bored waiting for it to go through the Massassi Board of Level Submission Approvals. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif] I want opinions NOW, darnnit. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

It's meant to be used with the rolling mod made by ID Junkguy... in fact you can't enjoy it otherwise.

Since this is a quick-and-dirty level, I tossed aside texturing and "pretty" archi in favor of speed in getting it done, some simple cog mechanics, and a couple of custom MATs. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

There is also a concussion secret hidden near the start. It's almost impossible to get to, but it's only ALMOST impossible.

Also, for this level I made ID Junkguy's rolling level cogs "universal". Feel free to extract them from the GOB and use them in your own rolling levels (give me and Junky credit tho).

One last thing: kudos to Lt_myn_skyhopper, who helped me test the universalized cogs.

Um, you might want to retract that statement. It is up to the author of a level to decide when a level is ready to be released. You shouldn't ever tell someone they shouldn't of released something because it's extreamly boxy and repetitive. While this is your opinion, it is uncalled for, and not up to you to decide.

Now this is the second or third time you've made comments like this (that I've caught you on). As a moderator, you should really learn to restrain yourself more.

Restrain himself from what? He's allowed to voice his opinion, just like the rest of us. He isn't anywhere near breaking the rules. If you or someone else can't accept his opinion and the way he puts it, tough.

I don't see how. He was stating his opinion that he doesn't think it was released, and he stated why. You seem to be taking it a little too seriously. Would you also be offended if someone said, "Come over here." instead of "Kind sir, would you please step over in this direction? Thank you."?

I cannot for the life of me get to the end of the upper path! The farthest I've gotten is on the second of the three moving ramps right before the end!

The fact is that most of the thus-created Roll levels, including the original, are "boxy and repetitive" ... the point is not to have omqleetarchi or eye candy, but to provide a challenging and intuitive course ...

Quite right Pommy! And if you people are going to comment on someone's work try to mix the good with the bad, instead of just shooting off into the dark depths of criticism, just because you enjoy picking on someone of lesser capabilities than you (assuming any of you can make levels).

I personally think it is a fun and challenging level! Good job Mega!

Not enough time was spent on texturing, simply more time could have been spent on simple things, like 8 sided circles to 16 sided circles. Simply making a square tunnel into an 8 sided tunnel, etc would have made this level, like Lordvader said, releasable. Right now it's a beta, and it needs a lot of work. It's still fun and enjoyable, but lacks in simple archi where needed.

Opinions are opinions, as long as they're not degrading. Lordvader's opinion could have been taken either way. We've seen many helpful 'This level shouldn't have been released's before, simply because some levels just need more beta time, rather then instant release. Simple as.

Pommy, thank you for you comment, it was a light in a realm of great darkness (for me at least [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]).

And for the rest of you, I understand that the level was boxy with bad texturing (this is no way anywhere near my best work).

I purposely rushed the level along so that I would be motivated enough to finish it before 2100. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif] (It almost didn't work.)

I decided to put texturing and architexture on the back burner, and instead focus more on gameplay. The moving ramps, walls, the revolving door, and the revised Junkguy Rolling Cogs(R). [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

So, did anyone find the secret conc? (WITHOUT opening the level up with Radiant or JED/JKEdit? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif])
