Yup, my First level. Actually, it's my 24th, but it's the first one I've bothered to finish and put in game.

The idea is, to have a shooting range, and obstical course for the soldiers of UR. It's the first of 3 maps. This one is the Range and Course, the next one is sort of a Swat-like mission, and the final will be something like that big fort level for JO.

Looks good, different than I was expecting from how you described it over AIM.

I like it, cross-shooting is impossible.

In your last shot, the hallway looks to thin. It looks like the player would get stuck or have a hard time navigating through the little triangle things jutting out (yea... I'm all here today...).

The openings are too small to catch the player. I'm known for making my hallways realistically small.

Ah, nice to actually see a level from you.. one without beans [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif].. But you might wanna add some beans.. err... detail to the room in the first shot, or at least write a cog that gives a nice effect to the room..maps need to be unique to be received well nowadays...

I'm glad you said something. The level has a pretty cool shootings system to make for Competitive range shooting. I'm also going to put gun cabnets up, etc.

not bad, not bad one bit...

Thou, Fix lighting so it is properly fixed along side the light textures/prefhabs. Plus those light poles or the cylender lights are too long. Make a base of a inside support. Meaning make a circle around the ones you have so when you look in them, light doesnt fudge up the room and its more direct towards the ground.

Over then that, would seem to work with a perfect dark mod wouldn't it? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Thanks, I hope that's a good thing...

I'm working on the obstical course now, just finished the entrance room where the droid would check your shooter's liscense :-D

Any ideas for obsticals? Right now I'm thinking of duck, jump, duck, jump variations, pit jumping, walking up slick surfaces, platforming, walking on thin beems, walking in a current, night swiming, and nighttime pillars.

A basic training for canadian army standards are...

I am in the canadian army, there is no real difference between training standards.. If you say otherwise, then you must have joined canadian, american, british armys huh?

Well, for a map idea to work, if you have played splinter cell, the rainbow 6 training idea's, and lastly half-life training idea's.. there is something to work with.. just you have animations to work on.. :S

I plan on adding some detail to make it look more like a front desk.

I might add some ceiling beams in this room to give it more of a thrown together-looking building.

I've redone the obstical course about 4 times now, and I just can't seem to find a good layout. I'm feeling good about what I've got started now.

I learned some helpful lighting techniques in this room... VERY helpfull.

i like it but like some other before me: add more lighting. and i like yuor idea of adding a more of a "front-desk" look and you might wanna put a computer in there to make it look like the droid keeps track of everyone. not any other complaints i can think of......OH WAIT! add soem chairs to the front room...oh i just noticed the computer ^_^ sorry.....and try and put a gun in the droid's hand. and try to put a glass window in front of the droid so it looks like a real range. and for the obstical course.........i don't have any ideas...........keep up the good work jEDIkIRBY!

Well, I left the front room with low lighting because it gave it more of a boring feel to it. The droid doesn't need glass, simply because no one would shoot a droid, and the droid wouldn't be holding a gun. Lastly, I've never seen chairs in the front room of a shooting range... like a waiting area...?

Custom pipe 3do... all made in JED (I would have never imagined I'd use JED for that kind of 3do, ever) a little mad about the textures, they make me have to bring the light up in that hallway, and darker and the pipes glow. I'm going to add some electrical wiring comming out of the box way down there. I'm also making a caged in lightbulb 3do to replace all of the annoying cylinders for lights, also taking someone's idea from up above to make some dirrectional lights for above the weapon rack.

The doors are turning into wood soon. This is the part of the obstical course that someone would have to jump, duck, jump, duck, etc to get past. I added the wood above for a little addition. I might make them metal, who knows. I spent a hell of a long time texturing them to find out that wood doesn't fit here :-D. Next area is a rope walk.

ok the doors: you know the door textures that junky you for the roll level's ramps? use those instead of the white dors and make the ceiling stuff WOOD. the pipe room should be dark like it is. but other than the one i really can't complain

ok everyone reading this: SCREW MY LAST POST! it's late and i'm tired.ok restarting:
1.Instead of using the white doors for the ob. course, use the grey ones with the yellow arrow thingys that are found on Nar Shadaa and several other places.
2.Don't make the ceiling stuff wood, make it metal.

I thought this level was kind of... meh, until I saw those last screenshots. Now it looks promising. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/eek.gif] Yeah, you should make the cieling stuff metal (Zloc, you said the exact opposite in your redone post of what you said in the original. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]). And no, I don't think that texture from Nar with the arrows would be very good. Mayhap plain ol' WOOD vood be good. (That rhymes three times!
